DESCRIPTION
The government pursues parallel IP strategies: increasing the use and acquisition of commercial IP, while still paying for the creation of significant amounts of "custom" IP. Each track comes with its own unique challenges. This webinar will review the current state of intellectual property (software, patents, and technical data) allocation; discuss how contractors and grantees can negotiate rights while still providing the government with rights that it needs; and discuss the proposed changes by the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) that may change your IP strategy.

Learning Objectives:
- Exisiting FAR and DFARS IP provision - what they say and what they mean;
- Tips on how to protect your IP and negotiate acceptable rights for the government, including practical negotiation strategies; and,
- Proposed changes to the DFARS IP provision.

This is a downloadable product in the form of a zip file. The zip file contains the following: - File(s) to run Webinar on Demand
