DESCRIPTION Given the changing direction of acquisition processes mandated by the new White House Administration and Congressional criticism of the DCAA audit organization, government contractors will have their hands full next year in coping with, and preparing for, more rigorous demands of government procurement and audit oversight. GAO reports castigating DCAA for failing to meet auditing professional standards, criticisms by the Commission on Wartime Contracting of DCAA and DCMA inter-agency functionality, and various legislative and executive branch memorandums requiring significant acquisition reforms are just a few events in 2009 that will put excruciating pressure on all contractors to prepare for federal procurement scrutiny unlike we have ever seen before. This webinar will overview a number of these critical procurement events and how they will likely impact government contractors in CY 2010 and perhaps in years to come. We will also discuss best practices and strategies for meeting the tidal wave of more demanding audits which carry a higher likelihood of audit reported deficiencies and disallowance of costs.
